It's not easy to talk about or plan for. But if you have a family, own a business, or have any assets, then you will want a plan in place for your estate and your loved ones. Attorney Hannah Vasey-Vehrs, JD, ARM can be your guide to make sure your interests are protected.

Hannah's focus comes from personal experience with loss. After losing her husband in 2017, Hannah knows firsthand the importance of preparing wills, trusts, and other legal instruments. While no one wants to gain this kind of experience, Hannah has been through it. Through her own tragic loss, Hannah is able to practically yet empathetically help other families to prepare for the future, to understand what is really important, and to get things organized now so that the loss of a loved one will be less burdensome and difficult.

  • Basic Will

When a loved one dies, there are so many little things that have to be taken care of. They can easily slip through the cracks, adding to stress and anxiety in an already difficult time. Hannah's attention to detail helps you make sure details big and small are in order.

A 1-2-3 Process

Let's not sugarcoat: It's hard to think about the end of life. That's why Hannah tries to make it as simple and straightforward as possible. It might help to think of it as a 1-2-3 process:

  1. We meet for an initial consultation. Hannah learns about your wishes and runs through a few questions with you.
  2. Hannah draws up the draft documents and we review them together. That way you understand exactly what they mean and how your wishes would be enforced. We also make any necessary changes.
  3. Hannah draws up the final documents, and you sign them before a notary and two witnesses, which she provides. You walk away with a comprehensive, legally-enforceable estate plan.
“We are friends of the family and worked with Hannah on our estate plan after the sudden loss of her husband in 2017. Her attention to detail and her own experience helped us prepare our wills and powers of attorney in a sensible yet empathetic way to make sure that our children, businesses, and property are taken care of."
